Born in Scotland in 1962, Jock trained at Edinburgh College of Art, gaining a BA Hons in Drawing and Painting and a Post Graduate Diploma with Distinction. He has been awarded residencies at Hospitalfield, Arbroath, the Tyrone Guthrie Centre, and Cill Railiag, Ballinskelligs. Jock moved to Ireland in 1992 and has work in many collections in the UK, Ireland, USA and Canada. Jock presented a solo exhibition in Almond Tree Gallery in August 2008
