Gill Bickerstaff graduated from Birmingham Art College in 1963 and has exhibited her work extensively through out Great Britain and Ireland ever since. She moved to Ireland in 2001. “Ireland has made me appreciate the colour green. It ranges from deep blue/green to singing golden/green. It alters in seconds as the inevitable clouds and showers pass over. Lawrie and I lived for a year in the magical Glen of Aherlow.Later building a house and studio overlooking the Comeragh Mountains and Sliabh na mban.” In 2005 Gill exhibited in The Narrow Space Gallery, Clonmel.Her work is collectected internationally. She has work in the collection of, The Irish Consulate Edinburgh, The Bank of Ireland, Credit Union Offices,Ireland. |
