Donal O Braonain is better known as Danny to his family and friends. Danny attended the National College of Art and Design, of which he is an associate member (ANCAD) winning the coveted NCAD prize in the history of Art and Design. Danny's childhood spent on the Barrow is one of the sources of his love of boats and his translucent river scenes show his love of light and reflections. Danny has been painting in a variety of media for over 40 years- watercolours and bamboo being a particular favourite.. Danny's work hangs in Banks and Corporate Offices and in numerous houses throughout Ireland and abroad. Danny has exhibited with the Mill Studio (a founder member) in the College of Surgeons, The New Park Hotel and in the Talbot Hotel, Wexford, during the Festival of Opera.
