Emma Barone was born in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.She spent many years studying & working in the areas of animation, interior, graphic & jewellery design, as well as stained glass, mosaic, architectural ceramics, visual merchandising & now also works as a kitchen designer.Two of her commissioned paintings are in the World Trade Centre Amsterdam. She has enjoyed much acclaim for her work in recent years and has participated in both solo and group shows with much success. | |

Gill Bickerstaff graduated from Birmingham Art College in 1963 and has exhibited her work extensively through out Great Britain and Ireland ever since. She moved to Ireland in 2001. “Ireland has made me appreciate the colour green. It ranges from deep blue/green to singing golden/green. It alters in seconds as the inevitable clouds and showers pass over. Lawrie and I lived for a year in the magical Glen of Aherlow.Later building a house and studio overlooking the Comeragh Mountains and Sliabh na mban.” In 2005 Gill exhibited in The Narrow Space Gallery, Clonmel.Her work is collectected internationally. Michelle Boyle has been painting professionally for five years from her studio in Virginia, Co. Cavan. Her academic background is in landscape architecture and archaeology, which possibly informs her choice of artistic subject as Michelle is predominantly a landscape painter. Her work is defined by a commitment to line observation both with paint and pencil. Caroline Conway lives in Birr, Co. Offaly she graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1991 winner of the Watt medal for best graduating design student. She has since exhibited in Great Britain and Ireland and has work in the collections of Offaly Co. Council and the O.P.W. James H. Flack has been painting since his early childhood in County Armagh. At 10, young James Flack was one of the youngsters whose paintings were chosen for display in a children's art exhibit that was a feature of the 1951 Festival of Britain. Flack initially trained for a career in the Presbyterian ministry, though his love of paintings never diminished. He holds the degrees of BA, BD, M.Th., and H.Dip.Ed. from Trinity College Dublin and Edinburgh University. He now devotes himself full-time to painting and teaching art in Athy, County Kildare. Flack exhibits regularly at galleries and in one-man shows in Ireland, Britain, Canada and the United States. His paintings have been purchased by libraries, museums, business concerns and private collectors in Ireland, Britain, Continental Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia and Africa. | |

Brenda Harris was born in Dublin. She has recently moved from Wicklow to West Waterford. Coming from a family background of textile and fashion designers, a career she followed in the 70s, has kept her in close contact with colour and creativity. It wasn't until she moved to Co. Wicklow in 1980 and influenced strongly by the natural beauty of the area, she focused more on painting. A full time artist for the past fifteen years, she paints mainly in oil and watercolours. Her paintings have been featured on numerous television programs both in Ireland and the U. K. and she exhibits regularly in both solo and group shows throughout Ireland. Her work hangs in private and corporate collections in Ireland, US, UK, Germany, France and the Middle East. Brenda regularly hosts workshops and tutorials both in Ireland and France. | ![]() |

Karen Hendy is a visual artist, who works in Stradbally. She is a graduate from the National College of Art and Design and she also studied at the Burren College of Art.. Her style can be described as in between figurative and abstract. She uses materials such as charcoal, pencil, inks, acrylic paint and oils. Her creation process is very physical and involves tearing, pulling, scraping, scratching and mark making. Some of the themes in her work are inter-human relationships, spirituality, emotions like fear, pleasure and aggression and nature in all its forms and beauty. Richard leaves near Nenagh in Co. Tipperary. He is a self taught artist who loves working with bog oak. When possible he seeks to develop the natural shapes already present in the wood trying to get a balance and flow into the finished pieces. Ella Kavanagh graduated with a B.Ed (Hons) degree in 1982. She later chose to pursue a professional career in fine art after attending painting classes with Eoin de Leastar. Since then, Ella has exhibited extensively in both solo and group-shows throughout Ireland and internationally. Venues include the Origin Gallery and the Brown Gallery, both in Dublin, together with the Lavit Gallery in Cork, the Dyehouse Gallery in Waterford, the Collyer-Bristow Gallery, London the Okarina Gallery in Slovenia, the Galleria D'Arte in Paris and the Ganggaleria der Stadwerke in Austria. She has also exhibited works during the Royal Hibernian’s Annual Exhibitions. Born in Scotland in 1962, Jock trained at Edinburgh College of Art, gaining a BA Hons in Drawing and Painting and a Post Graduate Diploma with Distinction. He has been awarded residencies at Hospitalfield, Arbroath, the Tyrone Guthrie Centre, and Cill Railiag, Ballinskelligs. Donal O Braonain is better known as Danny to his family and friends. Danny attended the National College of Art and Design, of which he is an associate member (ANCAD) winning the coveted NCAD prize in the history of Art and Design. Danny's childhood spent on the Barrow is one of the sources of his love of boats and his translucent river scenes show his love of light and reflections. Danny has been painting in a variety of media for over 40 years- watercolours and bamboo being a particular favourite.. Danny's work hangs in Banks and Corporate Offices and in numerous houses throughout Ireland and abroad.
